intel Core 2 Duo E 7200


Wolfdale "45nm processors have hit the desktop market, are the latest and greatest from Intel for the traditional desktop market. But Wolf Dales are still relatively expensive, as one expected to pay a premium for the latest technology and performance. However, 45nm Intel line is now at full strength with the release of 45nm "budget" CPU C2D E7200.

Dubbed Wolfdale-3M E7200 has the same architecture and 45nm process as the other Wolf Dales, but has less L2 cache 6 MB to 3 MB The default is 1066 FSB core runs at 2.53 GHz frequency. How do these attenuated compared performance specifications?


The POV-Ray, E7200 managed to 769.92 points by the two cores. Compare this with the E8500 running at 3.16GHz, who scored 967.82 points. That puts about 80% E7200 E8500 performance.
